Inspired by Detroit’s deep roots and evolving community, “Arts in Bloom” transforms fiber, crochet, and tufting into a vibrant garden. Walk through a handmade landscape, sit on the friendship bench, and explore textures that tell a story of history and hope.

Meet Lisa

Lisa S. Anderson is a Detroit-based visual artist whose work explores identity, healing, and transformation. Through fiber, color, and abstraction, she invites audiences into a world where art becomes a vessel for storytelling and self-discovery.

Anderson’s art is deeply personal, drawing from trauma, mental health, and global influences to create immersive fiber-based compositions. With a background in the corporate world and wellness coaching, she brings a unique perspective to her practice.

Through “Arts in Bloom,” Lisa continues her exploration of loss, grief, and resilience, using fiber, tufting, and acrylics to convey emotion and storytelling. Her work is a visual diary—a testament to the transformative power of art.
